Trick or Treat Memories...

• Decorating the house
• Picking out the perfect pumpkin
• Loading up on our favorite candies
• Sewing very intricate costumes
• Making a pot of chili
• The Mr. dressed up as a ghost following the kids who thought they were too old for parents to tag along
• Grandma and Grandpa coming over to check out the costumes, eat chili, and check out the loot!
• Sorting the candy when you got home

Although admittedly not my favorite holiday, I do hold some fond memories of Halloween's of past. I was never one to be real creative when coming up with costume ideas, so I know that stressed me out. In addition I raised two children who would never entertain the idea of purchasing a costume so I had to make them on my own. I think having to make those costumes really stressed me out!

Anyway, everything has come full circle as I now get to visit my niece and nephew to see what they are wearing, eat chili at their place and sort the candy when they come back. I just love traditions!
