Peace...

Two years ago I received a Spathiphyllum plant otherwise know as a Peace Lily, as a gift from co-workers in memory of the recent passing of my father-in-law. It has graced my office since then and has offered memories of him each day.
The plant requires a lot of watering so many times I travel around the corner to the kitchen to give it a good drink of water. Last Thursday as I passed my co-workers office, on my way to the kitchen, I mentioned that the plant had not flowered in quite some time and wondered when it would finally get a pretty bloom.
Friday morning as I opened my office door, the first thing I noticed was a fresh white flower bud greeting me. It put a smile on my face! Saturday night I glanced at my calendar at home and realized that the exact 2-yr. anniversary of my father-in-law's passing was Friday Sept. 17th, the day the peace lily bloomed! To me the sign speaks volumes. It says to me that he is at peace.
