My husband received a coffee mug years ago as a gift and it became a very special mug. He did not take it from the house on his morning rides to work nor did he use it outside for fear of breaking. It became a strictly indoor mug. About a month or so ago, he asked me if I had seen his mug around. It seemed that it was missing. We searched high and low, in all places we could think of, inside and out. It just didn't seem to be anywhere!
I then began my search on Restoration Hardware website, as the mug was purchased there. They did not carry that mug any longer, which prompted me to begin searching for it on EBay. Much to my surprise I found one, only ONE! I wrote the person who was selling only to find out that it was sold. Now what!
Last week, the Mr. called his mechanic to schedule a car repair. They told him, "oh by the way, we have your coffee mug!" We were never so both excited!
The mug is now home, safe and sound. It's never a good feeling to lose something, especially something with meaning. I'm glad this had a happy ending!
