Trash Picking 101...

Thursday night is trash night in our neighborhood for the trash man cometh on Friday mornings. On M-W-F the Mr. and I begin our early morning walks. The past two Fridays we have come upon some "good" trash that just could not be left for the trash man to take, so we picked through it and brought some things home! Last week we snagged a great colorful striped outdoor rug. I cleaned it up, it looks like new and now graces the back porch at Carrie Leanne's house! This week I came across a 1999 Longaberger Valentine basket with protective liner. I brought it home, cleaned it up and it looks like new! I checked out eBay and found them selling for around $60.00! Not sure what I will do with it, but once again it was too good to pass up! The Mr. is beginning to rethink his invite for me to walk on Friday mornings with him, as we now have turned into regular trash pickers and because we now haul our findings home, we usually have to re-negotiate our route in order to drop of the goodies.
