It's a Special Day...

Today is the birth day of my daughter Carrie who turns 26 on this very day, Friday, July 30th. It's so hard to believe that she can be this old! Why it just seems like yesterday that I held her in my hands and marveled at the thought of having such a beautiful daughter. It's been just over 1/4 of a century now and each day I still marvel at the thought of such a beautiful person! She has blossomed into such an independent, strong, caring, and loving woman. She is an intelligent, talented, creative, and funny young lady. She possesses so many unique qualities that I don't have and there are many times I wish I could be just like her! While typically people look up to their elders, I look up to my daughter. She has endured the many ups and downs in life, some more serious than others, and has become a better person because of them. She is the perfect blend of her father and I and we are very proud of her.
So I raise the proverbial glass to Carrie today as she celebrates turning 26! I hope this year brings you much happiness.
