It's About Time!
No excuse to justify the absence of posts since Jan. so with that being said here is to today, a sunny, warm Friday that promises to lead into a great weekend.
Simplicity updates: Good.Goodnight candles is in full swing this spring as we continue to display our line at .693, a beautiful little boutique in Old Worthington. Our product has been getting rave reviews there! This weekend we head up to The Rolling Acres Spring Craft Show in Delaware. I have never attended this show but have heard that it is a well attended event with over 90 vendors. I have a fairly large inventory of beautiful candles to take and look forward to spending time with my best friend Kim and daughter Carrie as we peddle our wares! I am trying to keep my expectations low, but secretly hope to sell out! I also love to people watch so this should give me a perfect opportunity to study the human race.
The knitting needles have made their way out of hiding as the forecast of spring/summer babies brings about new knitting projects. Currently I am working on a beautiful white baby sweater that will have matching booties. In addition I will be working on a "pea pod" and "cocoon". I am excitied to try out these two patterns and if they turn out I will post photos of the finished products!
Next month the hubby and I will head down to Nashville to take in the sights and to cheer on Carrie as she runs the Rock 'N Roll 1/2 marathon, her first! We are excitied to visit a new city and see what is has to offer. Carrie's blog friend is compliling a list of good places to eat and things for us to do.
As the warm weather and sunshine continues to make it's daily visit I eagerly await the gardening season and have already made mental notes of flowers to purchase this year. As always I lean toward the pinks and purples and this year will be no exception.
New this year! Don has requested a gardening space in the yard as his own and hopes to inherit the green thumb his Dad always had. Not sure what color scheme he plans to go with!
I read recently that our neighborhood will be featured in a house and garden tour this July, so if we can get nice gardens going this year maybe we will enter as participants. The pressure is on!
