Out with the Old, In with the New!

So... we have lived in our house almost 31 years now. For the past few months I noticed that our kitchen faucet was leaking. On occasion, big tears of water would stream out and around the faucet plate. I actually think it was begging to be retired!Last weekend I was invited, by my husband, to accompany him on a trip to Lowe's. An offer I could not pass up! So off we went to get peat moss, and weed killer. Well, one thing led to another and before you know it we were staring at a wall of kitchen faucets. Could it be that we were about to embark on a home improvement project? After much thought and discussion, we decided to take the leap and purchase a new faucet! It took awhile to choose the perfect one, not too fancy, not too big. We commented on what it would be like to build a brand new house where you must select every little thing that goes into it! I could not even imagine, why it took me two years to decide on the color to paint my front door, or select a new carpet for the master bedroom. The joke around the office is that my co-worker built and selected all items for her new house in the time it took me to decide on the new carpet!
Oh well...the old faucet gave us a run for our money as it was on there pretty good! It came apart in several pieces and sadly ended up in the trash. The new one took its place and I must say looks spectacular! It works great too.

I have funny attachments to inanimate objects and this was no different. While I was glad to see the old one go, I must admit I almost shed a tear over the loss of a dear departed "friend".
Looks good!
