Found...another favorite author!
Jennifer Kaufman and Karen Mack, authors of a book I just completed this past weekend. The book "Literacy and Longing in L.A." is a light read that can be finished over the course of one weekend! When one finds a new author, it's always exciting to look into other books they have written. Jennifer and Karen appear to be somewhat new on the scene as their second novel entitled " A Version of the Truth" was released in the spring of 2008. Lucky for me, my friend Annette, an avid reader, has the second novel and has let me borrow it! Annette was the one who introduced me to the original book. I found several quotes in the book that I loved and can apply to my life but two of my favorites are: " If everyone's problems were hung out on a line, you'd pick your own." and a quote taken from the novel Charolette's Web, "Human beings must always be on the watch for the coming of wonders."
I can honestly say that there is nothing better than sitting on a screened porch with a Diet Coke, sunshine and a great novel!

I loved that quote too. I can't wait until they release another book. A Version of the Truth is now one of my favorite books of all time.
